Luxury Self-Catering Norfolk Holiday Barn
4 Bedrooms | Sleeps 8 plus baby | Pet friendly
Old Hall Farm Barn in Kerdiston was originally built in the 17th century as part of the farmstead linked to the nearby Grade 2* listed farmhouse.
Kitchen / Dining
The well equipped open-plan kitchen features handmade solid oak cabinets with a sawn/milled finish, Irish blue limestone worksurface. From the original beams hang bespoke concrete light shades that illuminate the open space, including the long, reclaimed refectory table and sofa for relaxing on after a home cooked meal.
Living
The living room has a vaulted ceiling with original beams and clay painted, exposed brick walls. The glass front and back creates a light airy space and connects the interior with the landscape.
Bedrooms
There are three bedrooms on the ground floor. Two of these have king size beds whilst the third has handmade oak bunk beds. Upstairs has a large king size bedroom and en-suite bathroom with a roll-top bath, walk-in shower and loo.
Outside Space
Set in ½ an acre of grounds, the barn has a private south facing large fenced lawn garden, with wooden furniture, a parasol, BBQ and a fire pit. The outdoor seating area and the main living room both look over the 12 acre meadow to the front of the barn.
Local Area
The National Trust estates of Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall are nearby. Both have atmospheric historical houses and large grounds to explore. The woods at Felbrigg are magical and Blickling has one of the best secondhand book shops in the country.
Rural Norfolk
We are tucked away in peaceful, less visited part of rural Norfolk. There are some great country walks from the doorstep with the Marriott’s Way directly accessible through our meadow. The rivers Wensum and Bure are a short drive away and have some lovely walks.
